Immersion in the wild nature of "le pays de Comminges"

More than a simple event, a true adventure. That is the ethos of Club Mikado, a network of entrepreneurs bound together by a shared passion for experience and connection. Recently, we crafted a bespoke event for its members: a full immersion in the wild landscapes of the Comminges. From pushing personal boundaries to reconnecting with the land, discover how this adventure strengthened the bonds and spirit of the Club.

Day I

ENCOUNTERS AND DISCOVERIES

The sun was out to welcome the eleven entrepreneurs of Club Mikado to Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges. It was here, in the heart of a picturesque village, that the opening chapter of this story was written. After a warm welcome and an immersion in the local heritage, our members mounted their e-mountain bikes and set off on the first leg of their outdoor adventure.

Underground Exploration: A Moment of Pure Togetherness

At the sight of the overalls, initial apprehensions gave way to confidence, guided by our experts. Exploring the cave was not merely an activity — it was a moment of deep togetherness.

In total darkness, the connection between members grew stronger, forging unexpected bonds. It is in these moments of pushing beyond one’s limits that the true spirit of Club Mikado comes into its own.

After emerging from the cave, the tension gave way to a palpable sense of relief and gratitude. The Club Mikado members remounted their e-mountain bikes and climbed their way up to the Château de Bramevaque, where a sweeping panoramic view over their starting point awaited them — a fitting way to take stock of the ground covered.

A few more pedal strokes later, the group discovered a table laid at the foot of the great cliff face of Troubat. A true feast prepared by a local chef, using produce from the surrounding land, provided the perfect opportunity to recharge. This network of entrepreneurs was able to exchange and share in an exceptional setting, under the watchful eye of the grazing ewes, before preparing for the afternoon’s programme. The challenge that awaited them — rock climbing — gave each member the chance to support one another and strengthen the bonds of the club.

Day II

The Spirit of the Club, Even in the Rain

Rain made its appearance at dawn, yet did little to dampen the group’s enthusiasm. The adventure pressed on by mountain bike, winding through mystical landscapes brought to life by the tales of a passionate local. In the afternoon, a canoe-raft descent down the Garonne provided a refreshing and fittingly symbolic finale to this shared adventure. And so it was that, come rain or shine, the members of Club Mikado navigated together towards the end of their journey.
